Prerequisites
- you have an ADSL connection with an eagle-usb supported modem (sagem fast 800 / 908, comtrend ct350 / ct361, elcon 111U, Dlink DSL-200i, TELINDUS ND 220 ARESCOM ... see page with modems supported )
- install latest drakxtools, ldectect-lst, eagle-usb driver before launching Mandrake Control Center / Network & Internet / New connection. In case you installed eagle-usb from tar.bz2, make uninstall
Scenario
- configure your connection with Mandrake Control Center / Network & Internet / New connection
- enter all your parameters then try to connect
Validation
- you can connect to internet & net_monitor works correctly
- expected results : your ISP is available with good parameters, connection at boot works (asynchronous & synchronous)
- other results expected : shorewall correctly configured, works at install as well (with vanilla beta or rc) and you can update packages, try to use eagleconfig as an alternate to Drakxtools (+ eaglectrl -w ; startadsl), validate all functionalities :
Diagnostic
- to help diagnose problems, provide the output of eaglediag -al once you've tried to connect
- if it works, please identify your ISP / modem
- add your own page to Mdk101Community or above TestMandrake101 (just double clic, that's a wiki)
- to report on bugzilla, please provide
